The first formal initiative of Hum Mashal-e-Rah Foundation, “Mashal-e-Noor,” was started at the Children’s Library Complex, Schools Education Department Government of Punjab, offering various programs and therapies through a mother support group for children with special needs (ages 4–16). Later, a state-of-the-art rehabilitation and vocational training center was established for disabled persons (ages 18–50), Maskan in Nasheman, at the Social Welfare Complex, with kind support from donors.
In 2017, Hum Mashal e Rah Foundation was registered as a non-government organization in Lahore, with overwhelming and significant support from mothers.
